How
do I place a bid?
1. On the Home Page, click on the celebrity whose
items you wish to see. You will then be taken to the
chosen celebrity's page.
2. In the celebrity's page, click on the 'Bid' icon
next to the item you wish to bid for. You will then
be taken to the Bidding Page.
3. In the Bidding Page, there are two forms. One is
for members of Cafedreams.com and one is for new users.
Fill out the appropriate form and click the bid button.
That's it! You've placed your bid. You will automatically
receive an e-mail confirming your bid.
How
will I know if somebody else outbids me?
If someone outbids you, Cafedreams.com will notify
you via e-mail. If you are still interested in the
celebrity item, you will then have to place a new
bid.
What
is a bid increment?
A bid increment is the amount by which Cafedreams.com
increases the bidding on an item. For example, if
the current bid on an item is Rs. 500 and the bid
increment on the item is Rs. 200, it means the next
bid must be at least Rs. 700.
Can
I cancel my bid?
In general, you cannot cancel your bid. When you place
a bid, you become legally bound by the Terms and Conditions
of the auction. However, in very exceptional circumstances,
Cafedreams.com may agree to cancel your bid. You would
need to contact Cafedreams.com to make a request for
this.
If
I am the winning bidder, what will be the total amount
payable by me?
If you are the winning bidder, you will be charged
the following:
1. your bid amount, and
2. the shipping cost of the item from New Delhi to
your mailing address.

If I am the winning bidder, when will I have to pay
and when and how will I get my item?
If you are the winning bidder, Cafedreams.com will
notify you via e-mail and/or telephone of the total
amount payable by you. (See previous question.)
If
while bidding, you chose to pay by cheque, demand
draft or pay order:
1. you must dispatch the payment instrument from your
end within 7 days of the notification being sent to
you.
2. within 3 days of the clearance of your payment
into Cafedreams.com's account, Cafedreams.com will:
(in the case of physical items) courier the item,
the 'Authentication and Agreement Certificate' (see
next question) of the item and a payment receipt from
New Delhi to your mailing address.
(in the case of non-physical items) mail the Authentication
and Agreement Certificate of the item and a payment
receipt from New Delhi to your mailing address. Cafedreams.com
will also contact you for arrangements.
If while bidding, you chose to pay by cash on delivery
(available in and around New Delhi only), then within
7 days of the close of the auction, Cafedreams.com
will:
(in the case of physical items) contact you and arrange
the courier of the item and the Authentication and
Agreement Certificate of the item to your mailing
address - at the time of delivery of which you must
pay the total amount payable.
(In the case of non-physical items) contact you and
arrange the courier of the Authentication and Agreement
Certificate of the item to your mailing address -
at the time of delivery of which you must pay the
total amount payable. Cafedreams.com will then contact
you again for arrangements to execute the item you
have successful bid for.
How
do I know whether the items on auction are authentic?
All items on auction on Cafedreams.com have been obtained
from either:
1. the celebrities themselves, or
2. from companies that manage or promote celebrities
or companies that sell celebrity memorabilia, or
3. from private collectors.
The
authenticity of an item is conclusively established
before the item is accepted for auction. Further,
the auction winner will receive with every item a
copy of the 'Authentication and Agreement Certificate'
of the Item. The certificate states, amongst other
things, the full description and history of the item,
the authenticity of the item, the charity benefiting
from the auction of the item and the percentage of
the winning bid that will go to the charity. The certificate
is signed by the seller of the item (in the majority
of cases the celebrity himself/herself is the seller)
and by Dreams Online Pvt. Ltd. (the company that owns
Cafedreams.com). The Authentication and Agreement
Certificate is a guarantee of the authenticity of
the item.
How do I auction celebrity memorabilia?
If you would like to auction/sell celebrity related
items, please contact Cafedreams.com. Please note
that if you are not a celebrity but own celebrity
related items, you would need to provide us with evidence
of the authenticity of the items you wish to auction/sell.
How do I advertise or tie-up with Cafedreams.com?
You can advertise on Cafedreams.com or market yourself
in alliance with the site in a number of ways:
1. place banners and advertisements on the site
2. sponsor an individual auction or an individual
celebrity page
3. exchange links with the site
4. have online or offline events and activities in
alliance with the site.
